My Swami 6000i doesn’t not have the course I play most on it and has the distances messed up on the other course I play on. I live Florida in a major tourist area. Very disappointing.
My former Swami 6000 bit the dust after a good 10 years of excellent service. Probably has been recharged 500 times and still went 36 holes on a charge. Great service out of this unit.
Got the new Swami 6000i today and find there is no longer a clip to attach to a walker's bag. How is a walker supposed to carry this thing?

my blue izzo swami 6000i does not work. it shuts off after 3 or 4 holes. i reacquire the course and it has distance all off, 10 to 15 yards difference from another gps.
my version is 1.5.1.12, and i can't due soft/factory resets. also tried to use the gof course update man./swami updat tool software. i get a error message "can't get device info please reboot device try again. no way to reboot. s/n is 231003. i bought it only in july of last year.
i paid $128 and it has not worked properly since May 2026.
The Izzo swami is the best GPS for golf I've ever used. It's accurate, easy to see, lasts several rounds and charges quickly. In addition their support and warranty is first class. I had a small problem with mine and they replaced it promptly with a new one. I highly recommend this product for any level golfer...
For some reason the clock on the unit is always off by an hour. Tried contacting the company but never received a reply. My friend who has the identical GPS has the same issue.
My new Swami is a Model 6000I.
I have had three previous Swami's and I believe that all showed distances to water and sand traps. However, I have not been able to find those distances on my new Swami. Can you advise if these distances are available on the 6000I and if so, how can I locate them?

Heads up, I just received the 6000i, unbelievably enough the only way to attach the unit to anything is with the magnetic back, no other clip or attachment. Guess they assume everybody is in a cart. As I walk 99% of the time, this makes it worthless for me.
We have owned SWAMI devices for over 10 years. This one looks and feels more professional. The buttons are ergonomically better, display is clear and it functions as you expect it to. This has not had to be un frozen as yet which is so frustrating on earlier models. We now have a SWAMI 6000 and a SWAMI i6000.
We recommend them as a 5 star device.
Had it for a few months now. Play often but most courses have cart gps. Went out today hoping for something better than last time but, same thing, course didn’t show. Not happy so far. Can’t find anything that implies updates so guess I’m at the mercy of this version!
received swami kiss but my course not loaded on it. tried to download, but it does not work with my OS system - only windows!!!!! no indication anywhere that you cannot use your OS to download!!!
This thing is a piece of shit. Takes forever to charge fully and in face I've never seen it hit 100% charge. Can't truly tell what courses are loaded on it because the company site never loads when you search a course. Was out golfing the other day turned it on, first hole, to find a main course in the center of my town of 150K+ people with 5-6 courses, was not loaded on it. Courses are named weirdly at times where they don't match the actual name or are multiple to pick from. Yardage gets stuck sometimes, if the hole you are finishing is close to the next it will skip to the next hole and not allow you to go back and enter your score for the finished hole. Not impressed at all have owned for approximately 1.5 months. Would be better off at the bottom of a water hazard. Save your money and buy a trusted brand like Bushnell. I tried to save a few bucks buying this POS and completely regret it. Very sad from what should be a good company/brand. I haven't even tried customer service as most reviews i read before buying state how horse shit/non-existent. Do yourself a favor and trust this review. Wish i would have opted for something else.
I received my Swami last week and tried it for the first time yesterday. It came ON easily and responded to PLAY GOLF. It started looking for a golf course. It continued ‘looking’ for 10 minutes.
I restarted the Swami and started again. Same thing: searching. I then went into SETTINGS to make sure all there was correct. I adjusted the time of day to local time. Restarting, it did not improve.
At home I tried attaching my Windows based computer and connect to Izzo.com. Nothing changed after that exercise.
I will now call your help desk. I have spent an hour trying to get this gps to find a course (my course) to play.
I like the two I have, but it's strange that they give us a 1-3 yard difference when they are only 12 inches apart in the cart. The batteries don't seem to charge to more than 99%.
I have had the Izzo Swami 6000i for about 3 months. It has worked pretty well so far. However, yesterday, I turned it on at the course and it said GPS SEARCHING. It just stays on that. I called the company twice now. They said they would send me an email with some troubleshooting tips. I never got an email at all. You would think that they would give me a couple tips while i was talking to them. I tried to do an update from this site and it doesn't work. I'm disappointed to say the least. $120 for a hunk of junk. I want my money back!!!!!!!!!
An improvement over my last one, especially the charging feature. Love the bigger screen and larger numbers. Seems faster to acquire the course. Like the magnet surprisingly
