MEET THE TEAM
Meet the Team
It's the people behind the products that make IZZO Golf the brand you love! Get to know the people who help make your favorite golf products by reading their bios below!
Meet our President, Joe Cupido! He’s worked for IZZO for 27 years and has a 26 handicap. From sales and product development to marketing and ops, our President does it all! When he’s not working, he’s spending time with family! Whether he’s in Tampa enjoying time with his son, Matt and his wife, Jessica and their 2 year old daughter, Isabella, or spending his free time in Rochester with his incredible wife, Patricia and daughter, Amanda (who by the way, is an amazing baker!), Joe is always keeping busy! He likes to cook (especially with his wood burning pizza oven!) and getting involved with home renovations. His favorite golfer is Lefty, but one of his favorite golf quotes comes from the legend, Arnold Palmer, “Success in this game depends less on strength of body than strength of mind and character.”
Meet our Vice President, Jim Kar! He’s been a part of IZZO for over 30 years. What’s his handicap? Ehhh, let’s just say it's less than the amount of years he’s been here. Jim keeps busy at the office overseeing the accounting, credit, and supply chain of the company, as well as HR. If Jim isn’t at the office or at the course, you can catch him working out and eating (it’s all about balance)! He may have settled down in Rochester with his wife and 2 sons, but he’s originally from Hammond, Indiana where he graduated from Indiana University with a BS in Accounting and Finance. Rory McIlroy is Jim’s favorite golfer and the one he thinks will win the 2020 Masters, but Bobby Locke said his favorite quote, “You drive for show and putt for dough.”
Meet Kevin Martin, Executive Vice President at IZZO. He’s been a part of our team for 24 years and has a solid handicap of 13! Originally from Buffalo, NY, Kevin went to St. Bonaventure for Journalism. He lives in Rochester with his wife and has two adult kids. He loves working for the IZZO team because as a golfer, it’s fun to be helping other golfers enjoy the game more, by providing them with aids and tools to make the game more enjoyable to play, and less stressful! Outside of the office, you can catch Kevin playing volleyball (sand in summer, hard court in winter) or curling during the winter months! When he’s not hitting up the courts or rinks, Kevin enjoys reading biographies of US Presidents and other Founding Fathers. His favorite quote comes from his favorite golfer, Bobby Jones: “Golf is a game that’s played on a five inch course—the distance between your ears.”
Meet Jeff Gage, Senior Vice President of Sales with 12 years of service at IZZO Golf. He owns (5) IZZO Cup titles and was back to back reigning champ before losing in 2019 to Matt Rainbow. Even with his handicap of only 7, it’s hard to believe Jeff only started playing golf in high school when he could sneak out and play a few holes on the private course he lived on. He then headed to UVM and graduated in ’86 and lived in Boston for 6 years. It was when he moved back to Rochester where he met his wife Sabina and had 2 kids, Jessica and Zachary. When he’s at work, Jeff is responsible for growing sales globally. When Jeff’s not at the office or hitting the links (we’re not sure which one he does more), he’s wrestling with his 2 and a half year old grandson Lincoln. Jeff’s favorite quote comes from Ty Webb of Caddyshack fame, “Two wrongs don't make a right, but three rights make a left.” Jeff has predicted that Patrick Reed will win the 2020 Masters.
Meet our National Sales Manager, Bradford Beswick! He’s been with the IZZO team for 14 years and has a handicap of 15. At IZZO, Brad’s responsible for selling to key accounts, off-course shops and Green Grass accounts, but his favorite part about his job is being able to participate in the traditional IZZO Cup each year. Brad is a huge sports fan with teams all over the country including the Buffalo Sabres (NHL), Miami Dolphins (NFL), Houston Astros (MLB), Duke (College Basketball), and Tennessee (College Football). This Bowling Green State University Alum loves attending sporting events outside of work hours like hockey games and horse racing! His favorite quote comes from the one and only Lee Trevino who is Brad’s favorite golfer, “If you are caught in a storm and are afraid of lightning, hold up a 1-iron. Not even God can hit a 1-iron.”
Meet the Digital Marketing Manager, Aaron Frank! Aaron is going into the 2020 golf season with his third year at IZZO and a handicap of 9. He’s responsible for building and implementing online marketing campaigns & drive more sales on Amazon through digital marketing. However, his favorite part about working for IZZO is the people he gets to work with every day. You might see Aaron playing softball and other sports or reading when he’s not hitting the links! A Webster, NY native and an Oswego State Alum, Aaron is constantly trying to enjoy life and tries to keep a smile on his face no matter what. Being a lefty himself, Aaron’s favorite golfer is Bubba Watson and loves the quote from Roy McAvoy (Kevin Costner), “Greatness courts failure, Romeo.”
Finishing up his second year as IZZO’s Supply Chain Manager is Greg Vavrick! In an attempt to sandbag (obviously!), Greg never posts his scores but says his handicap is “around” 20. He’s responsible for building and maintaining relationships with suppliers, keeping our warehouses stocked with plenty of the products our customers love and making sure they arrive on schedule. He loves working at IZZO for the great work environment. If any stress heads his way you can spot him competing in a ping-pong battle with some co-workers. Outside of the office, Greg remains a lifelong resident of Rochester’s East Side where he raises 3 kids with his fantastic wife. If he’s not shooting a round of 18 or behind the wheel carting his kids to their sporting activities, you can find Greg boating, skiing and enjoying the outdoors with his family. Webb Simpson gets Greg’s favorite golfer vote and loves the Happy Gilmore quote, "If I saw myself in clothes like that, I'd have to kick my own ass."
Meet our reigning IZZO Cup Champion and Product and Customer Service Manager Matt Rainbow! He’s been with IZZO for 2 years and has a handicap of 6.8. Matt creates and improves products for IZZO as well as oversees the Customer Service Department. A Liverpool, NY native and St. John Fisher 2010 graduate, Matt settled down in Rochester with his beautiful wife, Liz. He has a 3 year old wild child son (Ben) and a newborn baby, Brooks! Aside from fine tuning his game to defend his IZZO Cup title, he has a passion for freshwater fishing and lifting weights. He can’t wait to share those passions with his sons as they get older. Phil Mickelson wins for Matt’s favorite golfer, he thinks Rory will win the 2020 Masters, and his favorite quote comes from Chi Chi Rodriguez, “Golf is 90% mental, and the other 10% is mental, too.”
Meet our Graphic Designer, Liz Wrobel! She’s been with IZZO for over 4 years and let’s just say she has a handicap somewhere between 10-30. Liz is responsible for all the IZZO graphics including packaging, catalogs, photography and webs graphics. Liz is a forever Rochesterian! She’s an Alum of Our Lady of Mercy High School and R.I.T. class of 2014. She’s the youngest of 4 and loves hiking, playing with her dog, watching movies, and working on never ending house projects. She loves spending time with her family, especially her nephews and nieces, as well as friends! Her favorite golfer is Rickie Fowler and her favorite quote is "My golf score seems to improve considerably when I have the score card."
Meet Meghan Cacchione, our Digital Marketing Administrator! She’s been with IZZO for two years and has a handicap that’s too high to exist. Her responsibilities include anything from creating product promo videos to handling social media and online campaigns. Born and raised in Syracuse, NY, Meghan is a graduate of Bishop Ludden High School and Le Moyne College (2015). Outside of work, you can spot Meghan training for her next marathon, heading home to Cuse’ to visit her 5 siblings, parents and nephew, volunteering at GiGi’s PlayHouse or binge watching the next cringy series on Netflix. Tommy Fleetwood gets her vote for favorite golfer (that hair though!) but her favorite golf quote comes from her dad, “You gotta keep your head down when you swing, that’s one of your problems!” (Thanks, Dad.)
Meet Jesse Zornow! He’s finishing up his second year as Customer Service Representative and has a solid handicap of 10. Jesse works hand in hand with customers to provide exemplary customer service while trouble shooting any technical issues that may arise. In addition, he maps out any courses that may be sent in from customers for their GPS devices. If Jesse isn’t working or golfing, he’s fishing! His favorite golfer is Bubba Watson and his favorite quote comes from Bobby Jones: “Golf is the closest game to the game we call life. You get bad breaks from good shots; you get good breaks from bad shots–but you have to play the ball where it lies.”
Meet Allen Cromey, our Customer Service Product Expert! This is Allen’s first year with us at IZZO and his handicap is 100+ (yikes!) Allen describes his position at IZZO as customer concierge ranging from purchase, Q & A and other additional troubleshooting. We specialize in course mapping for the best customer experience in the real world on their favorite or once in a life-time course of play worldwide. If Allen’s not working or golfing he’s spending time at home, thinking about…thinking about…thinking about going to the gym. He grew up in Sodus Point – a great place, 9th national treasure and well-kept secret! His favorite golfer is his dad and his favorite golf quote is “Welp, lost that one.”
